What you will do

The Procure to Pay Value Stream consists of all business processes related to strategic sourcing and procurement of direct and indirect materials and services. Additional scope in the PTP Value Stream includes processes and technology that receive, review, approve and pay supplier invoices.  The PTP Superuser will be a subject matter expert in the business process Target Operating Model. This includes the Enterprise Business Process Hierarchy and edge applications that enable end-to-end order fulfillment.  The PTP Superuser has expertise and experience working in SAP S4 HANA ERP. Strong working knowledge of business process documents and business process flows, associated T-Codes, reports, and Fiori applications is a must. She/he will work closely with other value stream Superusers, Business Process Owners (BPOs), and site key users and end users to ensure project success across critical phases of the site deployment including pre-site readiness, user acceptance testing, end user training and cutover/hypercare. Superusers are expected to coordinate with the program manager, IT lead and organization change management (OCM) lead to provide tools, reports, and training aids for each site persona in their value stream. She/he is a change agent accountable for the quality of the end user experience during and after deployment and will assist to minimize any impact to productivity at the site after go-live. In summary, the PTP Superuser is the process-technology subject matter expert that drives end user adoption in the Business Unit Functions and manufacturing/warehouse sites.

How you will do it


  • Drive key user and end user adoption. Primary point of contact for key users and end users from UAT through post-hypercare phases.


  • Participate in the site pre-readiness phase. Execute site visit as a key step in team building and aligning on program objectives.


  • Support and execute value stream action items during user acceptance testing, end user training, cutover and hypercare and post hypercare phases.


  • Operate as first point of contact for users during cutover and hypercare to provide retraining, defect determination, solution development, testing and deployment. Review and disposition defects and change requests.


  • Know the value stream process-technology ecosystem. Be ready to articulate the change impacts and how new business processes will create incremental benefits as users execute in the future state workflows.


  • Enforce the Target Operating model to drive standardization. Where appropriate, identify and escalate deviations from core process.


  • Collect and catalog work arounds, short-cuts and other creative solutions that come from end users during training, user acceptance testing, go-live and hypercare phases. Route ideas for analysis and business case preparation. Submit recommendations to the Process Council for review and approval.


  • Identify and catalog standard reports for each persona. Collect and catalog all requests for custom reports, KPI tracking and scorecards. Coordinate with the Reports & Metrics Manager to provide required reports and metrics for end users.


  • Coordinate with the Master Data Manager to identify data authors. Ensure controls and metrics are implemented to ensure data quality and integrity.


  • Identify and list opportunities for process and technology innovation. Escalate these ideas to the process council for review, approval, and implementation.


  • Create and implement a scorecard that measures site functional readiness for kick-off and go-live. Create a scorecard that measures the quality of implementation and user transformation experience.


  • Support the program team to manage and resolve defects to ensure “business continuity” during site deployments by preparing PTP stakeholders for transition to the new way of working


What we look for:


  • 10-14 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Functions including roles with increasing responsibilities, including leadership or management responsibilities.  Strong working experience with SAP (S4 HANA).  Knowledge of Fiori apps a plus.


  • Strong knowledge PTP edge applications and technology roadmaps that integrate with SAP S4 HANA


  • Experience training end and/or key users in business process and use of ERP.  Skilled at coaching and motivating end users.


  • Truly global professional experience with awareness of legal / regional requirements in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia Pac countries


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable interfacing with business executives, IT leaders and customers/suppliers on a regular basis.  Ability to execute training in 1:1 and group environments.


  • Project Management (Project Management Certification is a plus)


  • Experience leading teams including employees and contractors


  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 50%)


  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to multi-task


  • Demonstrated effective writing, presentation, public speaking and training skills


  • Strong skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree/MBA is a plus)
