Summary:

The project manager is responsible for general direction and oversight of a high visibility project at the FDA. The project manager should plan, oversee, and documents all technical aspects of the project. The project manager will work closely with the technical lead and the client to ensure that that all aspects of the project scope are covered, and the project schedule is maintained.

Responsibilities:


  • Participate in internal kickoff meetings to discuss contractual project details with the client and to ensure that the team has a full understanding of the expected deliverables

  • Assist in the definition of the project scope and its deliverables, and technical feasibility.

  • Manage relationship with the client and stakeholders

  • Maintain agreed on project schedule and ensure that all deliverables are completed on time

  • Maintain project progress reports

  • Perform risk management and minimize project risks

  • Report and escalate to program manager as needed

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation

  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

  • Manage day-to-day administrative performance of projects or a definable portion of a larger program in accordance with contract requirements

  • Fully understand all aspects of projects within the portfolio to effectively communicate status of the project to the program manager

  • Must be able to multi task, remain flexible, and be willing to grow with our business.  The ideal candidate will be experienced handling multiple large scale projects and take on other duties as assigned

  • As business focus evolves the ideal candidate will be able to support operational challenges and changing processes and procedures

Minimum Qualifications: 


  • You must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.

Desired Qualifications:  


  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) required

  • Minimum of 10 years + relevant experience.

  • Prior experience working with FDA/HHS is required

  • Prior experience with FDA CBP ACE interface is preferred

  • Requires demonstrated experience in managing, directing, planning, implementing, and staffing projects or sites.

  • Experience with infrastructure related projects and working on large scale enterprise production environments

  • Excellent management skills with the ability to assign and monitor work. 

  • Requires excellent communication skills; oral, written, and analytical

  • Excellent writing, editing, communication and interpersonal skills required

  • Excellent time management, decision making, presentation, human relations, and organization skills

  • The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or a green card holder and be able to obtain and maintain a client specific Public Trust clearance
