Cross Dock Coordinator at Albert's Organics in Prescott, Wisconsin

Job Description:

Schedule: 4AM to 1PM Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: $20.50/hr

POSITION PURPOSE:  

• Responsible for coordination of movement of cross-docks and transfers through the warehouse. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:   

• Obtains backhaul/inbound data and determines the amount of product that will be inbound.


• Determines if additional shipments are necessary.


• Contacts Transportation to arrange for additional transportation if necessary.


• Verifies all shipments inbound against accompanying paperwork and enters data on spreadsheet maintained by “to” facility which includes vendor name, release number, inbound carrier, and number of cases.  This record must be updated continuously as new information is available or shipments go out.


• Forwards copies of X-dock and Transfer spreadsheet to designated recipients.


• Loads outbound shuttle.


• E-mails the manifest and any pertinent information to the designated parties upon completion of outbound trailers.


• Utilizes powered equipment, may be required to load outbound trailer.


• Maintains document file on outgoing shipments.


• Required to operate powered industrial equipment such as electric pallet jack, forklift, order picker, high reach.


• Required to work in any area of the warehouse.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:

• Cross dock functions are completed in accordance with Company standards and procedures including quality standards and safety regulations.


• Effective communication and coordination exist with Company personnel and with management. Assistance and support are provided as needed.


• Deadlines are met.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experience. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Understands Safety guidelines

Strong knowledge of applicable Bakco functions and RF systems.

Detailed oriented; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. 

                                                          

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Warehouse/Operations preferred but not required. 

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Understands procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes

Ability to remain flexible with hours and starting and ending times; mandatory overtime required.

Required to work with minimal supervision. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including excellent telephone etiquette
