Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Test Development Engineer (Mechanical) located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Test Development Manager, the Test Development Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for architecting, developing, and implementing mechanical aspect of test development process with a focus on fixturing, product interfacing, automation, and operator safety.

What a typical day looks like:


  • Work with the customer and design team to understand product test requirements.

  • Ability to interpret product specifications and documentation relating to functionality.

  • Evaluate different product interfaces and understand hardware architecture of product.

  • Develop environments based on specific test needs.

  • Understand interaction between software / Hardware / Fixturing / Test environment.

  • Work closely with Design Engineers to understand product functionality.

  • Provide automation solutions and be familiar with probing techniques.

  • Be aware of all the latest hardware technologies.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:


  • Proficient in functional test fixture development with expertise in Solidworks, Autocad, and Creo.

  • Must have extensive experience in designing functional Test fixture with expertise in pneumatics and complex design for custom connections.

  • Must be able to come onboard very quickly with minimum training.

  • Must have detailed knowledge of all design concepts of functional test fixture design.

  • 1 year experience.

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
