Job Summary
The Corporate Finance & Planning Analyst will be responsible for supporting a multitude of corporate finance and planning-related activities, including Cash Management, Long-Range Planning, and Corporate Finance/Capital Markets.
The Corporate Finance & Planning Analyst will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remote.
Responsibilities
Performs various financial activities related to cash flow, borrowings, debt, and capital management
Supports daily financial activities including processing wire transfers, daily cash applications, and liquidity management
Supports review and analysis of project economics related to Murphy's portfolio of projects and the development of the associated LRP
Provides decision support analysis and recommendations relative to various ad-hoc project and portfolio questions
Performs peer group analysis, competitive analysis, and Company "look-backs"
Supports various Corporate Finance projects and requests related to, but not limited to, capital markets, rating agencies, corporate/project valuations (internal and external), peer benchmarking, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, MIS, or Engineering
Minimum 2 years' experience of Economic/Financial Modeling
MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
MBA preferred for Engineering BS
Experience in using various financial third-party software
Experience in Oil & Gas (E&P) a plus. A combination of experience in business planning, management consulting or investment banking also a plus
