Job Duties:
*Events: assist in planning and execution of CAB and select Setzer Student Center events
*Office support: greet visitors, answer phones, file papers, run errands, record and deliver messages, make copies and fax documents, collect and distribute mail and other documents to various departments, other clerical duties as assigned by SSC professional staff
*Attend weekly Executive Board meetings
*Attend weekly general body member meetings
*Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
*Must be a full-time undergraduate student at Lamar University
*Must commit to holding this position for the entire Fall 2021 semester
*Must be available to hold regular office hours between the hours of 8:00AM-5:00pm Monday - Friday
*Working nights and weekend are frequent in this position. Applicants must be available to work most nights and weekends as needed.
*Must be in good academic & conduct standing
*Must have a current, cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher - must also maintain this during time of employment
*Must be able and willing to promote the Setzer Student Center and Lamar University in a positive way
*Must possess excellent customer service skills
*Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
*All SSC student employees must attend staff meetings and trainings as required by their supervisor
- Must be in good standing with the University
-Must be a current member of the Cardinals Activities Board
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, move or hold 50 pounds
Work Hours:
Up to 19.5 hours per week
Job Conditions:
- Must be prepared to work both in and outdoors across campus
