Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. (LG&E) is seeking an IT Project Manager to join our team. Location for this role is flexible to anywhere in the continental U.S. with strong preference to: Buffalo, NY; Danbury, CT; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; or Des Moines, IA
The candidate will be responsible for managing IT projects for LG&E from concept through implementation, specifically as it relates to LG&E's core transactions. The candidate will provide resource management, task scheduling and execution and progress/stats reporting for LG&E IT projects.
IT Project Manager
- Responsible for defining project plans and executing and delivering against those plans
- Works across multiple projects to understand project needs, objectives, schedules, and components
- Works with and manages subject matter experts, and project teams to identify, define, document, and communicate the project requirements
- Provides direction and support to project team to maintain consistency and completeness of schedule, efforts, and quality
- Anticipates and mitigates project challenges such as risks, issues, and problems and identifies
- Works with appropriate third-party vendors required to accomplish project tasks
- Provides proactive leadership, consensus-building, and decision-making with business, IT, and senior leaders
- Provides expertise and guidance on overall program direction and scope management
- Drives program activities to ensure program is delivered on schedule, on budget, meets business requirements, and that quality delivery standards and procedures are followed
- Provides updates to IT Director and senior leadership, as required, on project status
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business management, computer science, or related field
- 5+ years managing IT projects preferably with multiple resources and large budgets
- PMI Certification preferred
- Problem solving skills and analytical thinking
- Experience in IT technical and functional roles is a plus
- Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) a plus
- Strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- MS Project skills is a plus
- Team player with good communication skills
