Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. (LG&E) is seeking an IT Project Manager to join our team. Location for this role is flexible to anywhere in the continental U.S. with strong preference to: Buffalo, NY; Danbury, CT; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; or Des Moines, IA
The candidate will be responsible for managing IT projects for LG&E from concept through implementation, specifically as it relates to LG&E's core transactions. The candidate will provide resource management, task scheduling and execution and progress/stats reporting for LG&E IT projects.
IT Project Manager
Responsible for defining project plans and executing and delivering against those plans
Works across multiple projects to understand project needs, objectives, schedules, and components
Works with and manages subject matter experts, and project teams to identify, define, document, and communicate the project requirements
Provides direction and support to project team to maintain consistency and completeness of schedule, efforts, and quality
Anticipates and mitigates project challenges such as risks, issues, and problems and identifies
Works with appropriate third-party vendors required to accomplish project tasks
Provides proactive leadership, consensus-building, and decision-making with business, IT, and senior leaders
Provides expertise and guidance on overall program direction and scope management
Drives program activities to ensure program is delivered on schedule, on budget, meets business requirements, and that quality delivery standards and procedures are followed
Provides updates to IT Director and senior leadership, as required, on project status
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business management, computer science, or related field
5+ years managing IT projects preferably with multiple resources and large budgets
PMI Certification preferred
Problem solving skills and analytical thinking
Experience in IT technical and functional roles is a plus
Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) a plus
Strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
MS Project skills is a plus
Team player with good communication skills
