The Sr Network Engineer will provide on-going day to day support for global data network. Contribute to the strategy, architecture, and design of the next generation solutions involving network security, segmentation and automation. Work with business units to identify requirements (cost, functionality, performance), provide networking solutions and drive projects forward. Act as an escalation engineer for high severity network related production issues, work with engineers and various vendors to identify tactical and strategic solutions.

  • Design, develop and deploy network infrastructure in the wide area network

  • Perform day to day network support tasks associated with add moves and changes and troubleshooting on network

  • Function as team lead and first point of escalation for Infrastructure team

  • Administer, manage and maintain all cisco routers, switches, firewalls, software and appliances.

  • Daily maintenance as it relates to ISE

  • Maintain F5 Load balancers

  • Manage CheckPointIPS/IDS and web filtering

  • Responsible for troubleshooting for all LAN/WAN/Wireless alerts and issues

  • Responsible for maintenance of all monitoring and reporting systems

  • Take ownership of change control process for all network related issues

  • Maintain all documentation

  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)

  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations

  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability

  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning

  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure

  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team

  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

  • Perform on-call duty for non-business hours support as per shift assignments

  • Perform administrative tasks pertaining to time entry and status reporting

  • Additional duties as assigned by management.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY



  • College or technical program graduate

  • Minimum of 10 Years of Domain Experience

  • CCNP Certified desired


COMPETENCIES (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):


  • Must have 10+ years of proven experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale multi-vendor enterprise networks, with focus on performance optimization and scalability.

  • Deep understanding of network designs and operations

  • Validated knowledge and experience transforming enterprise to Zero Trust network model

  • Recommend network improvements, including cost/benefit analysis, to meet changing business requirements.

  • Experience with enterprise data center architectures, Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, Cisco ISE, Netscaler.

  • Maintain existing network configurations and dependencies.

  • Knowledge and understanding of technologies/architectures including; SDN, SD-WAN and network segmentation.

  • CCIE or CCNP Routing and Switching certifications or equivalent are required.

  • Experience with SIP or cloud based UC solutions.

  • Network Automation (Ansible, Python, etc.) a plus.

  • Serve as a member of the team that assists with the design, engineering, implementation, and maintenance of Securitas network infrastructure.

  • Sharp troubleshooting faculties, deductive reasoning, and careful attention to detail.

  • Independent and self-directed work ethic when participating in a collaborative environment.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written skills to develop technical documentation

  • Dedicated commitment to service availability and quality user experience.

  • Perform on-call duty for non-business hours support as per shift assignments.

  • Hands-on experience working with various cloud vendors a plus.

  • Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.

  • Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.

  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

  • Periodic travel may be required intermittently.

  • Must be flexible and available for afterhours support.
