ITT Goulds Pumps is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Seneca Falls, NY. The Manufacturing Engineer will support manufacturing from machining to shipping with minimal interruption to processes. The expectations for this position include contributing knowledge and ideas to improve upon current processes resulting in reduced cycle times, improved quality, increased cost savings and uptime. Initial projects will have emphasis on programming and related data communications.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide the Manufacturing Facilities with support resources to maintain and document existing processes, programs, tooling, and standards to satisfy production requirements.
Performs the management of projects related to industrial pump manufacturing, component engineering and manufacturing for new and existing parts and assemblies.
Establishes manufacturing methods and process sequence necessary to complete parts.
Creates models, operation sheets and CNC programs using MasterCAM, Unigraphics NX, Pro-E and/or Solidworks software.
Handles Fixture and Tool design concepts and maintains close feedback with other shop floor personnel, management and related customers and vendors.
Troubleshoots manufacturing problems and implements method and tool improvements.
Writes rework and repair methods for non-conformances.
Participates in discussions with customers and suppliers as required. Performs additional duties as requested.
Assist in developing group objectives in conjunction with foremen, supervisors and general managers.
Establish and document on all new equipment and processes, proper methods, tooling, programs, Pro E drawings, and standards (EASE) that satisfies the needs of the Manufacturing Facilities.
Support and assist maintenance personnel with diagnosis and repair of production equipment
Perform financial analysis in order to validate processes and cost in preparations for make vs. buy and capital purchase decisions.
Assist in planning, developing and implementation of capital and non-capital projects.
Support Lean initiatives to eliminate waste and improve OTP.
Prepare and maintain accurate drawing of plant layouts.
Promote cost reduction ideas in the area of facility rearrangement; improve equipment and processes using "state- of-the-art" technologies to include Demand Flow Initiatives.
Analyze existing processes, equipment and performances to provide recommendations for needed capacity, efficiency, customer service, quality or safety.
Monitor the installation of tooling and machines, insuring the lowest possible cost and timely implementation.
Manage the above job responsibilities insuring the best possible interaction and cooperation between bargaining and non-bargaining employees.

Position Requirements
Education: BSME/IE degree or equivalent
Experience:
2+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
Experience working in a union environment is helpful
Factory floor experience helpful
