Position Overview
The Novelis plant located in Greensboro, GA has an immediate opening for an Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance Team. This position will diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in our manufacturing facility.
Work schedule consists of 12.5 hour "2-2-3" shift including nights and weekends.

Our Industrial Electricians start between $28.00+ per hour. Employees receive premium pay for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday and receive shift differential pay for evening shifts. Responsibilities & Qualifications
The following are primary responsibilities but are not meant to be all-inclusive:
- Take ownership of and be an active part of the Safety Program at Novelis
- Inspect electrical equipment and machinery, diagnose faulty operation,
- determine proper corrective action, document in current or future maintenance scheduling program, and make indicated repairs.
- Ability to use megohmmeter, voltmeter, ammeter, ground locating and
- Have working knowledge of electrical distribution system and switchgear.
- Configure, Commission, Troubleshoot & Startup any AC/DC Drive, any (HMI)Human Interface, (PLC) Programmable Logic Controller or (DCS) Distributive Control System with minimal assistance from engineering
- Insure that all wires and devices in/outside panels are labeled.
- Assist in keeping drawings and panel legends up to date and report changes and inconsistencies as found
- Assemble and install all types of new or repaired electrical circuits, systems, instrumentation and equipment, including motors, regulators, controllers, generators, and switches.
- Assist mechanics as needed
- Use hand and power tools of all kinds and a variety of measuring and testing instruments
Candidates for this position must have an Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance and 5 years experience in the Industrial Environment.

- Have the ability to lead and communicate effectively, both verbal and written, at all levels of the operation.
- Work around molten metal
- Climb stairs occasionally
- Climb on/off forklift several times a day
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Be able to work at temperatures < 50 degrees in the winter to >100 degrees in the summer

Novelis' Greensboro facility is located in Greensboro Georgia. With 140 employees it is the first stand-alone used beverage can recycling facility in the company now responsible for pioneering a majority of Novelis' recycling technologies.
