Summary/Objective



Communicate standards of excellence in the daily work assignments of assigned team in order to meet safe production as outlined by management. Standards should be communicated through stated goals, daily interaction, team meetings, and provide input on employee performance evaluations.



Essential Functions

• Perform standard office duties, plant duties and operate mobile equipment


• Establish and maintain effective communication within all areas of operation


• Must make regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues


• Implement and apply all safety rules, regulations and procedures of mine


• Complete daily production, safety and maintenance reports accurately


• Perform all other related duties as assigned

Work Environment



This job operates frequently in a maintenance and operations environment in an underground and surface mine location. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.



Physical Demands



The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist, visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination, manual dexterity, repetitive motion, standing, sitting (must be able to sit for extended periods of time up to 8 hours), walking, climbing stairs, bending and stooping, and the ability to drive.



Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that may requires long hours and weekend work.



Required Education and Experience

• High School degree


• Good understanding of MSHA and Environmental Regulations

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Be able to Communicate in a professional manner across all employee and management positions


• Good presentation skills for formal meetings. Both with hourly and management employees


• Possess strong skills at prioritizing activities.


• Assertive, can do and persuasive personality


• PC literate


• Work with minimal supervision


• Ability to train others on the Safety Standards
