Project Coordinator - Hornblower Shipyard at Hornblower Shipyard, LLC in Bridgeport, Connecticut

Job Description:

City Experiences is seeking a Project Coordinator for our Hornblower Shipyard operation in Bridgeport. 

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

This position has responsibility for delivering project success and coordinates with the Project Management Team on all aspects of new construction, vessel renovation and development projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Use project management tools and software to monitor project plans, hours, budgets, and expenditures

  • Issue Purchase Orders and manage communications with vendors for payment

  • Manage shipping. receiving, and warehouse activities

  • Assist in issuing Contracts, Letters of Intent,

  • Support contract compliance with upkeep of vessel and facility documentations

  • Track communications and maintain proper documentation with USCG.

  • Perform office management activities

  • Perform data and budget analysis and create reports as needed

  • Organize and host site meetings and distribute minutes to team members

  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the project team

  • Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the life cycle of the project

  • Keep the Project Manager and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations

  • Assist the Program manager, as well as Development Management Departments with drafts and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules.

  • Other Duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:


  • BS in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience is preferred

  • Specific industry experience is preferred

  • Previous management experience in an office setting

  • Excellent leadership, time management, and organizations skills

  • Strong ability to communicate in person, in writing, and over the phone

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other office management software

  • Comfortable handling confidential information

  • Must be a self-starter

  • Experience working in a team and operational environment to manage systems

  • Experience with Word, Excel and organizational documentation file management systems

  • Must thrive in a fast paced environment
