The Plant Dry Operator role will be located at our Montpelier plant location.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Plant Operator is responsible for operations, maintenance, and quality in the dry section.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Inspect and document work area for safety/environmental
Work with other Dry Process Operators and Utility workers to ensure seamless transition of workflow during breaks, lunches, shift changes, illnesses and
Work with the Grinding Process Operator and Wet Section Loader Operator to maintain sufficient quantity and quality to meet dry process production
Work with supervision and lab personnel taking samples to maintain sufficient quality of final
Keep the dry processing area clean and free of spillage, used maintenance items and trash
Operations:
Start up and shut down the dry section
Adjust feed rate/burner and dampers
Obtain silo measurements and maintain silo levels
Obtain and record all necessary values for equipment, i.e. dust collector readings, exhaust stack vacuum etc.
Identify all equipment in the dry section
Operate dryers to minimize fuel consumption
Operation and inspection of reject pump and discharge
Operations and inspection of dust collector
Obtain and enter the correct information into operations spreadsheet
Operating Maintenance:
Clean strainers in dry section
Lubricate all equipment in the dry section
Un-choke blue tank/reject boxes
Reset exterior electrical disconnects for all equipment in the dry section
