Position Summary:

The Sales Analytics Manager position is an exciting opportunity to lead a team in providing high quality data driven solutions that address key business questions. In this position, you will lead a cross-functional team comprised of analytical and technical team members. The ideal candidate will be competent in standard BI tools, with a focus on Power Platform and PowerBI. Furthermore, the Sales Analytics Manager is required to have knowledge and practical experience with relational database technologies. You will lead your team in discovery, architecture and management of Power BI Initiatives that link to the product roadmap and deliver exceptional business value and communicate these solutions to the broader organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage one or more product teams members.


• Source additional insight and best practice to design, plan, and scope optimal product functionality.


• Develop and maintain product strategy and vision for the analytics workstream.


• Work collaboratively with other Product Managers to refine and prioritize the overall product roadmap and identify dependencies.


• Perform discovery, architect solutions and manage delivery of Power BI Initiative.


• Develop business intelligence and analytical solutions to solve complex business problems leading to data driven decision making.  Solutions need to not only answer what happened, but also answer why it happened and discern what to do next.


• Work closely with key stakeholder to develop highly visual analytical workflows leveraging mainly Power BI.


• Transform data consumption from Excel based pivot tables to highly immersive data visualization applications. 


• Develop standard reports, dashboard and scorecards leverage traditional BI tool like Power BI or MicroStrategy.


• Introduce and integrate data mining and predictive analytical techniques as a part of the core business intelligence offerings.


• Participate in planning sessions with key stakeholders to develop use cases and requirements for data driven analytical solutions.


• Take ownership of a problem and stay with it through to resolution -- often involves coordinating the actions of people in other teams to achieve the desired result.


• Create rapid prototypes with team members leveraging traditional BI and database technologies and alternative solutions.


• Identify and apply statistical and advanced analytical methods with customer teams enabling action-oriented results. 

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing business intelligence reporting solutions.


• 2+ years of experience applying data analytical techniques within an organization.


• 3+ year knowledge of Power Platform and Power BI Premium Capacity are required.


• Experience with Power BI Paginated (Pixel Perfect) tabular reports, and SQL Server reporting services.


• Power BI Tenant / Premium Capacity Administration is a plus.


• Experience in successful product delivery in an Agile environment utilizing tools such as JIRA.


• Strong relational database knowledge and SQL skills is required, such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server.


• Experience with cloud database technologies such as AWS Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake is a plus.


• End-to-end from ERD Logical to Physical models, with ETL dataflow and pipeline architecture skills required.


• Experience with statistical tools, such as R, Python or SAS is a plus.


• Excellent record in process ownership and development.


• Effective and clear communication skills with customers.


• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently with shifting priorities.


• Experience working using the Scrum methodology.


• Working knowledge of agile project management principles.


• Able to coach, guide and develop team members.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics or comparable.


• Wine / Spirits / Beer / Beverage industry, three-tier system, business/systems analysis and change management experience is a plus.
