Senior HR Analyst at GREEN DIAMOND RESOURCE COMPANY in Seattle, Washington

Posted in General Business 30+ days ago.

Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

This position has the option for remote work, but the person must be located in the Greater Seattle area and be able to report to our corporate office in Seattle on a scheduled basis.

Who you are: You have an eye for detail and process. You're the person everyone calls for help with Excel and are a whiz at writing reports. Even with those great skills, you don't hide in spreadsheets and systems; you enjoy engaging with employees to ensure they understand their paychecks, benefits, and policies and have spent the last seven or more years working in a HR/Payroll/Benefits trifecta. You've earned your stripes and hold an active Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential. You use your HR Information System (HRIS) experience to analyze trends, solve business challenges, and improve processes. And to top it off - you have done benefits administration, managed interfaces, and supported employees.

You are also ready to join a high-functioning HR team in a growing company.

What the job is: The Senior HR Analyst is a new role within the company and will join the existing seven person HR/Payroll team to provide support across multiple locations in the business. The department covers employees located in WA, OR, CA, MT and the US SE.

Here are some examples of the daily work this role will do at Green Diamond:

Oversee and audit payroll, time-collection, and benefit data to ensure accuracy and standard procedures are adhered to and appropriately documented.

Responsible for comprehension of HRIS suite functionality and how the modules interact for data processing and reporting.
Employ creative problem-solving to research and resolve HRIS configuration and usability challenges. Partner with operational HR staff to implement solutions.
Work with multiple departments across the business to identify process improvements and respond to data requests.
Partner with Benefits & Compensation Manager on annual open enrollment and compensation events.

If there are aspects of this job that would be new for you, we will help you learn, and expand your knowledge into other areas of the department.

What the department is like: The HR department encourages each other to grow in their professional careers and for each person to bring their deep knowledge to the table when working together. The team is encouraged to share ideas and to offer support for each other as work demands change. The department is spread out geographically and actively uses Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Asana to collaborate on work and to simply connect as a team.

Who Green Diamond is: We grow and nurture forests, a renewable resource to build homes, schools, and household necessities, harnessing carbon every single day we operate. We're a family-owned company that is guided by our values of environmental stewardship and supporting our local communities. We do what's right, even when it is the harder path to follow. We focus on the health and safety of our people first - by taking care of all of our resources, we plan to be here for another 130 years.
