Job Description:
Continuous Improvement Coordinator
We have an exciting opportunity to support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes at Greif's newest state of the art manufacturing facility located in Palmyra, PA just recently opened in January 2020. You'll partner with local plant colleagues and leaders to ensure program sustainability by building the necessary tools, processes, and capabilities to maintain a World class facility.

Major Responsibilities
Serves as an expert in lean manufacturing and its application.
Educates local plant employees on lean manufacturing techniques.
Supports Greif's Center of Excellence by continually improving training modules to teach key lean principles.
Diagnoses and prioritizes opportunities in areas of labor savings, throughput improvement, yield improvement, and other operational cost reductions.
Leads the implementation of identified opportunities by working closely with plant personnel and plant continuous improvement teams.
Facilitates and supports kaizen activities to identify and analyze operational improvement opportunities.
Establishes and supports the consistent use of performance management standards for Operational Excellence.
Leverages experiences and shares best practices across the business unit and other business units within Greif worldwide.
Incorporates and maintains safety observances, including but not limited to, use of all PPE by employees, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promoting good daily safety practices and habits. Performs other duties as assigned.
