POSITION SUMMARY

The Global Supply Chain Planner sets weekly and monthly production plans, working with procurement and the production scheduler to ensure timely supply of product to our customers.  Maintains appropriate inventory levels of raw, WIP and finished goods not included as part of storeroom inventory. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To accomplish this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The following are the end results and deliverables for which this position is held accountable.

• Develops formal production schedules (e.g. Ortems) on a weekly and monthly basis.


• Sets inventory levels and works to identify inventory reduction and control efforts. Assists in implementing control methodologies and sets all raw, WIP and finished goods inventory levels


• Manages short-term operational efficiencies, capacities and inventories to identify supply interruptions to customers


• Develops inventory targets and monitors inventory levels to optimize operations, service levels and working capital investment


• Liaison between 1) international partners, 2) sales, customer service representatives, 3) scheduling 4) purchasing and 5) internal operations customers


• Leads efforts to ensure SAP data is accurate and complete to create clean MRP signals for operations and purchasing.

• Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, and/or Supply Chain with 2 years of experience preferred or 6 plus years of planning & inventory management
