The Senior Content Specialist works with freelance and staff writers to produce case studies and articles chronicling radiologists and teams who are innovating and moving patient care forward. This position will manage the content production for ACR publications, from pitching and assigning to editing and publishing.  Interfacing with writers, designers, and printers to produce a monthly print issue and the accompanying digital version, you will work with a group of publishing professionals that are experienced, creative and team-oriented!

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Gather topics and manage editorial calendar

  • Create scopes of work for case study topics

  • Assign case studies to freelance writers and staff

  • Edit case studies and provide feedback to freelance writers and staff

  • Manage case study production process

  • Post case studies to acr.org

  • Innovate on content types and storytelling vehicles

Requirements/Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Journalism or English)

  • 7+ years of related experience

    • Managing a print publication, interfacing with designers and printers to produce an issue

    • Executing an online publication strategy

    • Working in b2b, medical, or association publishing space



  • Strong writing and editing skills

  • Strong project management skills and experience managing competing deadlines

  • Detail oriented work style
