Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the recruitment of new hires for Harrah's Lake Tahoe, including prescreening, qualifying, interviewing, and selecting top talent; determine next step in interview and selection process, and deliver top talent to hiring managers for final interviews. Facilitates New Hire Orientation for newly hired team members. Completes HR generalist duties including employee engagement.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :


  • Proactively recruits applicants who match the qualifications for particular jobs, including placing advertising in appropriate media; researching, planning and participating in recruiting trips, job fairs and open houses.
  • Utilizes creativity to develop new and innovative ways to cost-effectively recruit top talent and build a recruiting culture within the property.
  • Establishes relationships with pre-determined colleges/universities and actively recruits for internship program and/or new college graduate hires.
  • Actively promotes and utilizes the Team Member Referral Program as a cost-effective source of high-quality hires.
  • Reviews applications and resumes and conducts in-depth structured applicant interviews.
  • Reviews Transfer Requests for appropriateness to the position and maintains accurate records. Works closely with hiring managers ensure internal candidates are interviewed and informed of their transfer status in a timely manner.
  • Maintains the Oracle system by posting and deleting jobs.
  • Conducts pre-employment processes and completes new employee paperwork.
  • Facilitates Caesars branded Welcome to the Empire new hire orientation program to include New Hire Orientation, Diversity and Inclusion, Customer Service Training, and Responsible Gaming. Ensures all property benefit programs and perks are communicated in New Hire Orientation.
  • Maintains accurate training records for the property.
  • Assists HR team with daily office duties (i.e. front counter inquiries, payroll & benefits matters, employee engagement activities, customer service programs, etc.)
  • Always demonstrates a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor with applicants and employees.
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally for J1 Visa student recruitment trips (up to 4 times per year).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year in Human Resources with an emphasis in Training/Development & Recruitment preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Literate and fluent in English
  • Team player with excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and a strong commitment to success.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel.
  • Ability to learn other functions of the Human Resources department and take on additional generalist functions as needed to support the department and the operation.
  • Outstanding attention to details.
  • Effective management of multiple projects and ability to prioritize in order to meet key objectives.
  • Must have excellent judgment and common sense and be able to make and support decisions.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with little direct supervision.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
  • Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
  • Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
  • Must have a valid Gaming License (can be obtained after a job offer has been made).

PHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:


  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time (8 hours).
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property including stairs and escalators.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.

*Must be able to obtain a Nevada State Gaming License
