Transcend Lead Software Engineer -Remote at Guardian in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Position Summary:
As a Transcend Lead Software Engineer, you will develop new annuity products and enhance existing products with new rider features in the policy administration system Transcend. You will be working in a Kanban environment and leading a product by understanding business requirement and refining it for further development. Your Annuity business knowledge will help in communicating with business leaders.

You are:
A self-starter senior developer who can transform conceptual thoughts into multiple possible approaches. The person should be able to work with the Product Owner and business partners such as Accounting, Finance, Investment, Actuaries, and Operations to understand business requirements and develop Annuity products.

You will:
Work with business partners, business analysts, and product owner to design and build product.
Work with system administrators such as Database, Unix, Windows, Securities to ensure product design complies with Guardian standards.
Ensure all features are identified and facilitate, manage, and distribute product changes among developers.
Guide developers in development and integration.
Collaborate with leaders to refine and estimate epics for business priority.
Server as a leader to reduce production defects by continuous enhancing process of development and testing.

You have:
Over ten years of development experience in policy administration system using programming language Magic.
Over ten years of design and development of databases such as Oracle.
Must have programming experience with Unix shell scripts.
Must have product development experience in Transcend system.
Working experience of development methodology such as Agile.
Open mindset for continuous improvement and to align with business initiatives.
Loma certification in Annuity is preferred.

Location & Vaccination Requirements

The primary location for this position is Bethlehem, PA, with a work arrangement of On-campus.
Covid – 19 vaccinations required for this position.
