Your responsibilities

The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer is a mid-level position. Candidate should have previous experience in an EPC environment focused on the delivery of electrical and instrumentation basic engineering packages. Projects will be executed in a multidiscipline team environment. The position reports to the Electrical and Automation Engineering Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Produces deliverables as required to fulfill project needs as part of a team of electrical engineering and instrumentation team. Project deliverables will include, but are not limited to: P&IDs, motors and consumers list, instruments list, I/O lists, loop drawings, junction box drawings, elementary diagrams, control panel drawings, motors and instruments data sheets, RFQ and RFP, etc.


• Elaborate electrical equipment MV motor and VFDs, LV motors and VFDs, MCC, etc., technical specifications.


• Participate and assist in witness tests, packaged equipment, E-houses, analyzers, and control panels.


• Position reports to the Electrical and Automation Engineering Manager.


• May assist on-site with construction, commissioning, and startup activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will have no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Your profile

Required Education:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's of Science in an Electrical or Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering disciplines.

Required Technical Knowledge (if applicable):

• Knowledge of NEC, CEC, IEEE, API, ISA, CSA, ANSI and ASME standards.

Desired Experience:

• The experience requirement for this position is a minimum of 1 year in petrochemical, refining, material handling, cement and / or mining industries.

Additional Qualifications:

• The successful candidate will be proficient in using Microsoft Office Package.
