Company Description

Veolia Borderland Facility located in El Paso, Texas is seeking to fill a site Maintenance Manager Role. This is a key role within the plant and interacts periodically with the corporate operations team within the seven acid circuit plants and Veolia. This position will report to the Borderland Plant Manager.

Job Description

1. Interact with the Operations Manager and Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance Manager to establish day to day priorities of the maintenance team.
2. Responsible for safe and environmentally sound day-to-day activities of the Borderland
Maintenance Tasks.
3. Facilitate the development of maintenance work schedules and allocation of team members to complete required maintenance tasks.
4. Develop and possess knowledge of equipment and worker capabilities to meet identified
schedules and timelines.
5. Utilize SAP work order and purchase systems to maintain accurate cost systems.
6. Responsible for day-to-day administration and coordination of site resident and non-resident contractors through interaction with on-site contractor supervision.
7. Train and serve as Contract Administrator for all maintenance contractors performing work on- site.
8. Accountable for safe and timely execution of preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance; as well as all capital project (MCN and small/major) coordination/execution at the plant.
9. Responsible and accountable for safe and timely execution of all established inspection plans and for identifying and creating new execution plans as needed to maintain smooth, predictable operation of site equipment.
10. Responsible and accountable for maintenance spending and cost management including capital spend, overtime, contract services, contract maintenance labor, and maintenance materials.
11. Responsible and accountable for TAR (turn-around) activities including planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, procurement, kitting, execution and continuous improvement. Serve as TAR Coordinator for all site TARs.
12. Serve as Process Safety Management (PSM) element owner for "Contractor Safety and Performance" and other PSM element roles as deemed appropriate.
13. Support and contribute to business & site planning development through interaction with processes including, but not limited to Five-Year Capital Plan, Asset Life Planning (ALP), and Reliability Vulnerabilities Outlook.

14. Manage all direct Maintenance team activities including Maintenance Planner, Process and controls mechanic, and site general mechanics. Responsible for shops including general maintenance, pump, and trailer shops.

Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree, from an accredited university (Preferably in Engineering), with 3+ years
on-the-job maintenance or operations experience.
● In lieu of specified degree, 5+ years relative experience working in/on Maintenance Systems and possessing experience, or potential, to function in operations or mechanical
leadership/supervision capacity.
● 4+ years maintenance/manufacturing experience in a chemical process and potential to
function in operations or mechanical leadership/supervision capacity.

● Ability to collaborate with others involved in a variety of functions including operations,
maintenance, engineering, and management, to implement solutions which impact plant
performance in a positive manner.
● Working Knowledge of Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance systems
● Experience with a High Hazard Process, Process Safety Management system requirements, reliability theory, root cause failure analysis, six-sigma, lean.
● Experience with concepts of capital processes from concept development through budget
controls to installations and start-up.
● Strong financial experience/knowledge with budget and asset management - Preferred
● Demonstrated leadership experience - Preferred
● SAP Experience and proficiency - Helpful
● Six Sigma Green Belt Certification - Preferred
● TAR Coordination/Leadership Experience - Preferred
