Position Description
We are seeking a hard-working and motivated Business Development Specialist to join our growing team. The individual in this role will assist company growth and profitability through new customer acquisition, as well as by increasing current customer spend. This role requires personal drive, persistence, good communication, attention to technical details, and business strategy expertise.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university. Engineering degree preferred.
A sound level of technical comprehension.
3-5 years of related experience in sales or a technical role. Experience in sales at the corporate level preferred.
A proven track record in strong presentation and communication skills.
Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and e-mail. Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
The new team member should be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development
Proficient in time management and personal organization.

Duties and Responsibilities
Identify potential customers in a target market and complete appropriate research on their needs.
Present capabilities to prospects, document contacts and sales calls.
Generate new leads with the intention of creating more sales/revenue.
Develop relationships with prospective customers, while maintaining/ expanding existing customer relationships.
Work closely with internal technical teams to develop a thorough offering and a competitive advantage. Help create contract-winning proposals.
Be able to convey a systematic approach and our technical deliverables to assist customers in the development and execution of their capital projects.
