About This Job



A Bank OperationsUtilitySpecialist performs a variety of jobs in the Bank Operations division. The areas include Wire Transfer, ACH, Trust Operations, Capital Markets Group Operations, Treasury & Commercial Customer Support and others as the need arises.TheBank OperationsUtilitySpecialistwill support department needsduring peak times of the month or year, during system conversions and when staff shortages occur.In addition, the Bank Operations Specialist may also work on projects and provide suggestions for improvement initiatives.



Work Schedule



  • Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm or 7:00am - 4:00pm


  • Flexible/Hybrid work arrangements available - training and introductory period onsite. Once training is completed and production standards are being met, 1-2 days a week onsite and 3-4 days a week work from home arrangements are available.





Essential Functions



Asset Setup - 20%


  • Providing back-up support on high profile responsibilities including Asset Set-Up Functionality, Asset Pricing, Asset Maintenance.


  • Asset Setup Functions including the following: Establish various asset types on the trust processing system, perform asset maintenance as requested, complete accurate and timely updates for asset pricing on the system.


  • Complete compliance requirements associated with ASC820 reporting including understand asset levels, types and reporting requirements.


  • QC daily work to identify trends and training opportunities.


  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and process efficiencies.


  • Perform other duties as assigned




Statements - 30%


  • Providing back-up support on high profile responsibilities including Trust Statement Production, Statement Exception Research, Statement Compliance Requirements


  • Statement Functions including the following: Initiate statement job for monthly, quarterly and annual statement production, process special statement requests for clients, reconcile statement out of balances, fulfill statement audit requests, produce monthly statement out of balance reporting, statement frequency code changes, and communicate with vendor on a regular basis to ensure production requirements are met.


  • QC all statement work ensuring accuracy


  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and process efficiencies.


  • Perform other duties as assigned




Statement & Asset Setup Projects - 30%


  • Implement new statement designs and enhancements through programming changes on the statement vertical/horizontal codes which includes actively participating in the programming, testing and implementation of said enhancements


  • Completing statement projects required by the compliance department on a quarterly and annual basis


  • Reviewing trust processing system to identify Asset Setup Projects and communicating to the Supervisor and potentially team.


  • Assisting with and facilitating the completion of special projects enhancements and design upgrades related to both client statement reporting and asset setup/pricing.


  • Perform other duties as assigned




Other Functions - 20%


  • Assist with management type relation functions such as PAS reporting, writing procedures, audit requests, risk assessments, training, and high-profile client issues.


  • Special projects assigned by management team.


  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience



  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Some college preferred.


  • 2 - 3years Trust, Banking, or Financial Services experience related to Assets


  • Knowledge of Securities preferred


  • Familiarity with Visual Basic for Applications and JavaScript a plus
