SAVA is looking to fill critical Information Technology based positions for our customer with the United States Army at the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) located in Aberdeen, MD (APG).  The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: outstanding customer service, expertise/knowledge in the required field, dedication to the mission and strong work ethic.

SAVA is in search of a burgeoning IT professional to join our family as an Application Developer III (ATC) on our ATEC IT Support team.

Responsibilities: 



  • Implementation and management of an agile software development process to achieve predictable and repeatable results




  • Provide guidance, implementation, and maintenance in support of chosen development process allowing for continuous integration




  • Provide or assist with requirements gathering and analysis




  • Perform IT Studies to include feasibility studies, analysis, plan development, problem-solving and report preparation




  • Provide guidance and assistance in forecasting and planning for future development, staging and resource requirements




  • Provide documentation on all development tasks that are complete, accurate, and accepted by government proponents.




  • Utilize source code management and adhere to secure coding standards




  • Provide user documentation and customer assistance




  • Provide application training when required



Minimum Qualifications: 



  • Must have and be able to maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.




  • Must possess an active DOD 8570.01-M compliant certification meeting the requirements for IAT Level II.




  • Relevant education/experience must be in an IT discipline.



    • Five (5) or more years of experience with a Masters degree




    • Seven (7) or more years of experience with a Bachelors degree




    • Nine (9) or more years of experience with a Associates degree, or 




    • At least eleven (11) years of experience in lieu of a degree






  • Must have experience with ASP.NET, HTML, C#, JavaScript, jQuery or other modern/emerging web development technologies.




  • Experience with .NET Framework, Visual Basic.net, SQL, XML, VBA for Office Applications.




  • Must have experience in agile software development and/or SDLC. Debugging/troubleshooting, testing and remediating cybersecurity vulnerabilities in software code.




  • Experience in developing and deploying Web applications, and be experienced with multiple operating systems.




  • Demonstrated experience providing user support for custom developed applications.




  • Experience independently developing medium scale, complex software programs and mentoring other software team members.




  • Technical expert on design and architecture of software modules and applications by applying principles of software design through patterns and secure coding.




  • Experience creating and maintaining deliverables for software releases and overseeing schedules and communication with program management and subject matter experts.



 

Desired Qualifications:  



  • Ability to envision and implement build and deployment strategies for Continuous Integration and deployment of system software, test artifacts, and documentation.




  • Understating of SharePoint.




  • Understanding/Experience with emerging BI platforms Power BI, Qlik, etc.




  • Active DoD-issued Top-Secret clearance, or higher, strongly preferred.




  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, though not required.
