Performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair to production and plant equipment, the building and related facility systems from the direction of the Team Leader and the department Manager.
Responsibilities
General Emphasis:
Operates maintenance equipment to fabricate various components.
Repairs and replaces plumbing fixtures and systems.
Relocates and rebuilds equipment.
Performs snow removal and salting duties.
Performs general and finish carpentry as well as pipefitting-type work.
Performs routine Preventative Maintenance.
Orders and retrieves replacement parts.
Performs general building repair and maintenance (may include any building system component (windows, floors, plumbing, painting, pumps, etc.)).
Performs basic metal fabrication using shop equipment.
Performs plant and grounds cleanup.
Assists General Maintenance Level II as needed.
Machine Repair Emphasis:
5 years experience.
All level I duties listed above.
Troubleshoots and repairs all material handling equipment, including major repairs to electrical (DC) and hydraulic systems using system schematics and diagrams.
Fabricates components using a welder.
Performs preventive maintenance of the fire protection system.
Performs new installations of compressed air, chilled water, city water, etc.
Performs major equipment moves and rebuilds.
Operates and monitors steam-generating boiler.
Monitors critical plant equipment throughout shift (boilers, compressors, towers, etc.).
Works closely with the Facility Engineering Manager.
Plant Equipment Emphasis:
5 years experience.
All level I duties listed above.
Monitors and adjusts cooling tower water quality using treatment chemicals.
Monitors and adjusts boiler water quality using treatment chemicals.
Performs systems furniture reconfiguration.
Performs new installations of compressed air, chilled water, city water, etc.
Performs major equipment moves and rebuilds
Operates and monitors steam-generating boiler.
Monitors critical plant equipment throughout shift (boilers, compressors, towers, etc.).
Works closely with the Facility Engineering Manager.
Qualifications
Equipment Used:
Multi-meters, hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, compressors, boilers, snow thrower, shovels, pickup truck, chillers, towers, lift truck, baler, compactor, etc.
Unusual Conditions:
Frequent dirty work, outside elements (cold & heat)
Occasionally may travel to other BISSELL facilities.
Requirements:
HR diploma, General maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
