Job Description:

You'll oversee and analyze your reps’ performance, act as a go-to person for questions and consultation, helping with needs assessments, navigating cold outreach, and strategizing with reps to support winning new business opportunities. It’s super important to help develop the team. To provide feedback and guidance, hold regular 1-on-1 and group meetings, conduct formal reviews, facilitate training and development, set compensation levels, and maximize their job satisfaction.

In addition to focusing on the success of your own reps, you'll play an important role in the overall management of the Outreach Sales Team. This includes helping to spot opportunities, implement improvements, and plan staffing and coverage logistics. Furthermore, you will help ensure that coverage occurs as intended on a day-to-day basis; overseeing the moment-to-moment performance of the overall operation and troubleshooting as needed. You'll report and work closely with the Director of Outreach.

How you’ll make a difference:
We seek a passionate and customer-centric people leader to manage, develop, and coach a team of 10-12 remote Territory Managers, who work within various geographies around the country. This role will directly and, by influencing others, indirectly, drive our team to achieve our ambitious sales performance targets. This leader will balance customer focus with business acumen in order to guide and shape this high-performing team of salespeople. Most importantly, they must lead by example and demonstrate the entrepreneurial spirit required to ensure that the team continues to improve their performance, efficiency, and business impact.

What you’ll do:


  • The successful candidate for this role will manage the day to day team operations as well as the lead in the development of the team in real-time


  • Assist in the qualification and closure of key business opportunities 


  • Supporting team development through candid and caring feedback 


  • Providing formal and informal reviews, as well as participating in interviews and onboarding


  • Identifying and addressing skill gaps and delivery development plans to improve performance as needed


  • Supporting the identification and development of partnerships with organizations


  • Proficiency with project management skills.  This is essential to scope and execute various strategic projects


  • Consistently drive to increase team satisfaction and performance through process improvement and efficiency gains


  • Be the resident Salesforce expert that can train and provide guidance where needed


  • A rounded team leader who has cross-functional knowledge with the ability to collaborate with other key business functions and teams

About You:


  • The ideal candidate will be strong in the following areas:


  • Minimum of 3 years of selling experience with a minimum of 1 year managing a team 


  • Proven track record of driving team performance in a sales function


  • Individual track record of sales performance and partnership creation


  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce CRM


  • Strong business acumen 


  • Ability to lead and motivate other individuals to achieve results


  • Ability to partner with and influence stakeholders without direct authority


  • Transforming data into insights and insights into new guidance for the team


  • Demonstrated positive, consistent, customer-focused, results-driven attitude


  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to think outside the box
