Sitting within the Chief Commercial Officer organization, our Product Management Functional Excellence team focused on the Global Products organization is adding to that mission by focusing on Serviceability and Aftermarket Parts design to drive growth in our key markets. In this newly-created role, the Director of Product Management, Parts and Serviceability will report to the VP of Global Product Management.
This face-paced role will work across 11 complex Global Product business units with+100K SKU’s and three global service organizations businesses to build improved linkage in how products are designed that will enable unlocking services and parts revenue and improve customers experience by building in design for serviceability features. Key to success will be the ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization and influence across multiple layers in an organization, from manager level up to President levels. You must understand how to design business processes, create organizational partnerships and manage organizational change, all while keeping focused on our end customer’s needs
This role will be driving process improvements that will incorporate best practices in cross-functional design, with a strong emphasis on Parts and Serviceability. This role will be focused on best practices that will enable design for serviceability and parts revenue, creating service-product partnership initiatives that will jointly drive revenue, establishing processes to ensure service, parts and usability needs are accounted for in product design and withing the Product Management function and creating appropriate tracking metrics. This role will partner closely with our services organizations and aftermarket parts organizations and ensure the end customer’s needs are addressed in our offerings.

How you will do it
Collaborate with the VP of Global Product Management to develop and drive Global Products-level strategies, organic and inorganic, for key enterprise growth areas by:
Implement design best practices
Articulate design for serviceability and an aftermarket parts business into guiding principals
Implement this process into all business units within the Global Products business
Ensure services feedback and aftermarket parts feedback is incorporated into the process; end-to-end from VOC (voice of customer) to performance requirements, feature development and launch excellence
Coach our Product Managers on how to solicit and incorporate service and parts feedback into their standard work
Enable Product-Services partnership
Act as an ambassador of Product Development to the Services organizations and Parts organizations
Create forums for cross product-services-parts collaboration
Creating joint KPI’s that track Service revenue enabled by Products(and vice versa)
Align with the Global Products Parts leader to execute on the Global Products-level parts strategy
Drive joint Product-Services and Products-Parts initiatives
Partner with enterprise-level resources to create new market offerings that require a mix of products, services and parts.
Coordinate the development of those products needed to bring those offerings to market
Establish continual governance and leadership for joint offerings
What we look for
Required
Expertise in service and aftermarket parts life cycle management
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field of study
7-10 years of product management, service management or aftermarket parts management in in global organizations, or a blend thereof
Ability to both lead and work collaboratively in teams and support all levels of a large and complex enterprise
Proven success in leading, planning and implementing successful service or aftermarket parts programs
Experience with organizations driving transformation
Proven analytical, commercial, and financial skills
A flexible and open mindset with evidence of strategic thinking, creativity and vision in driving growth
Strong leadership, interpersonal, presentation, time management and organization skills.
Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization.
Highly customer-focused and able to manage conflicting priorities
Ability to travel 25%
Preferred
Experience driving organizational transformations
Familiarity with the building technologies market
