The Instructional Designer provides organizational support to the academic department by working closely with the Concorde Academic Team to build content into the Canvas LMS and manage MMS book system. All Concorde associates are required to display professionalism and uphold Concorde’s Mission and the core values of respect for the individual, integrity, teamwork, customer service, and achievement.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Create engaging and compelling course content through collaboration with identified SMEs
Develop activities, assignments, assessments, etc., that engage students and faculty, helping to solidify the comprehension of material
Build content within the Canvas LMS that align with objectives and measure outcomes
Identify areas of weakness and/or gaps within the curriculum and work with SMEs to ensure courses provide a high-quality experience to students and faculty
Project manage each course build and meet deadlines as set by the Academic department
Manage the book list in its current and evolving platform
Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS REQUIRED
Knowledge of curriculum development principles, theories of adult education, and distance learning
Strong analytical skills that lead to sound decision making
Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple vendors/publishers
Knowledge of Learning Management Systems, Canvas experience preferred
Organization, time management, ability to work under tight deadlines
