A large medical center coastally located in San Diego County is looking to a hire a Registered Dietitian as their next Food and Nutrition Services Director. An experienced Clinical Dietitian with their Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional credentials will have a smooth transition into this permanent position.

Overview:

• Inpatient Clinical Nutrition services NICU to Geriatrics


• Food Services including cafeteria and catering


• Reports to Vice President of Ancillary and Support Services

The Registered Dietitian Nutrition Services Director will enjoy working at this nearly 400 bed acute care hospital. The mission of this non-profit hospital is to enhance the health and wellbeing of the community that they serve—the Food and Nutrition Services RD Director will be paramount in this effort! The Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition Services team at this medical center is respected by its clinical peers and appreciated by the patients. The Registered Dietitians, Nutrition Aides and Food Services personnel take pride in their work and have a patient-centered lens. 

The Medical Services offered at this medical center include: comprehensive surgical services including an advanced open-heart program, a high acuity Level III NICU that provides lifesaving care to hundreds of neonates annually, and other hospital services including ICU, Emergency, Medical Surgical and Neuro care. The Clinical Nutrition Staff are integrated throughout the inpatient unit care teams and also provide clinical nutrition support in a variety of outpatient clinic settings. The outpatient medical nutrition therapy program is designed for people living with chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, celiac disease, etc. The Dietitians also provide nutrition education to pregnant women seeking prenatal care and individuals desirous of counseling for weight management and overall healthy eating habits.
