A growing health system in Pennsylvania is actively recruiting for a System Vice President of Nursing CNO to lead their team. 


The System Vice President of Nursing CNO will lead over 3,000 nurses across a rapidly growing health care system in Pennsylvania. This health system is known for their acute care hospitals, rehabilitation programs, research institute, primary care facilities, specialty clinics, and homecare programs offered throughout the state. The System Vice President of Nursing CNO will join a Magnet Designated, non-profit health system that continues to be ranked one of the Best Places to Work with high employee retention and employee satisfaction scores. Reporting to the Health System’s Chief Executive Officer, the System Vice President of Nursing CNO will oversee all nursing staff, initiatives, and programs for the organization. Through promoting a collaborative culture, the System Vice President of Nursing CNO will maintain a transparent working relationship with the Chief Nursing Officers, Vice Presidents, and Nurse Directors to promote a unified approach to nursing education initiatives, research, identifying short and long term growth opportunities, developing quality performance improvement initiatives, updating policy procedures, maintaining hospital, state, and federal regulatory compliance, and preparing for upcoming accreditation and surveys. 


The System Vice President of Nursing CNO must be a seasoned nursing professional with previous Chief Nursing Officer experience for a large acute care hospital or a previous background as a Senior Nursing Executive across a multi-hospital acute care setting. Ideally the System Vice President of Nursing CNO will hold their DNP or PhD along with specialty nursing leadership certifications, and proven experience leading a large team within a matrix organizational structure. 


Because the health system offers hospitals and clinics throughout the State, the System Vice President of Nursing CNO will enjoy attractions, culture, and rich history from an array of different cities, suburbs and communities throughout Pennsylvania. The System Vice President of Nursing CNO will be based out of a city located in a suburb just outside of Philadelphia. This upscale suburb is home to young professionals and families. With a great work life balance, the System Vice President of Nursing CNO will enjoy visiting historic museums, spending the day in downtown Philadelphia or picnicking at one of the Delaware beaches, and taking weekend trips to  Washington DC and New York, and New Jersey.
