This position is involved directly in the inspection and testing of product after heat treatment, plating and/or lubrication in the Chemical Testing Lab. This position procures samples for hardness, adhesion, thickness, visual inspection, humidity, and salt-spray testing.
This position also requires review of heat treatment charts for verification of temperatures and exposure times by furnace type. Use of precision inspection tools and equipment, ability to read blueprints and procedures are required in the daily activities to ensure acceptance of product to specifications and requirements. Involvement in other inspections, such as, but not limited to, creating non-conforming material reports, receiving inspection and 3 rd party certificate of conformance review.

Plating Evaluation and Acceptance
Lube Evaluation and Acceptance
Visual Inspection and Acceptance
Hardness Evaluation and Acceptance
Prepare, Load and Evaluate samples for salt spray testing
Prepare, Load and Evaluate samples for salt spray testing high humidity testing
Supporting Quality in the recall of gages and tools
Perform receiving inspection
Review of 3 rd Party Certification of Compliance Documentation
Review of Heat Treatment Records/Charts
Prepare and load samples onto hardness testing equipment for evaluation and acceptance
Prepare and load samples onto XRF plating analyzer for evaluation and acceptance
Prepare quality documentation including but not limited to lab reports and logbooks for product acceptance
Prepare non-conformance reports for Quality and Engineering evaluation
Use hand tooling such as micrometers, microscopes, calipers, and thread gages
Use sampling plans, drawings, work instructions, industry standards and specification to verify conformance of product acceptance.
Other duties and/or responsibilities may be performed as part of cross-training or employee development plan.
