ICIS is seeking a Key Account Manager to join its experienced sales team in Houston; primarily focused on organizing a strategic approach to understand the true value we bring to our customers, expanding and strengthening the breadth and depth of our relationships, ultimately retaining existing revenue and generating new business through upsell and sell of additional products and services in the petrochemical sector. The Key Account Manager will be responsible to understand the business and strategy of its customers and how our data, products and services impacts their planning, budgeting, decision making process and workflow. The Key Account Manager will also need to need to build relationship with decision makers, understanding their responsibilities, goals, performance indicators and how our data, products and services will support them to be more successful.


The successful candidate will be a resourceful, motivated individual with a high level of curiosity, passion to learn, courage to try, fail and win. An effective Key Account Manager must be an excellent communicator, have superior people skills and possess a strong work ethic. They must be comfortable presenting products or services over the phone and face to face as well as dealing with sales objections.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Establishes strong, long-term customer relationships, defends existing revenue, and cultivates new business opportunities. Maintains relationships with key decision makers

  • Continuously learn to lead with insight, develop a deep understanding of customer workflows and customer value

  • Maintain high volume and high-quality customer engagement through phone, email, social media, and onsite visits and should be travelling to targeted clients each month

  • Go the extra mile to hit Sales targets and facilitate future sales

  • Develop account planning and use internal resources to leverage opportunities

  • Keep records of sales and note useful information and upload the data on the CRM

  • Proven track record at managing, retaining and growing revenue and accountable/responsible for sales results

  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and written

  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the changing market, our customers, and the business decision makers in the fast-changing environment we currently live in

  • Works well under pressure

  • Be available for foreign travels

  • Fluent in English is required

  • Advanced Spanish is required

  • Experienced at working with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce.com)
