In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. ***This position will be in Kansas City, MO***
Performs routine or moderately complex activities in support of the IT division. Supports, coordinates, and leads IT planning and improvement efforts. Responsible for small to medium sized IT efforts with moderate complexity.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provides support to IT business units by preparing reports, presentations, and status updates
Follows defined IT project management processes, standards, and procedures
Provides process feedback supporting potential improvement opportunities
Coordinates annual planning, roadmap, and prioritization activities
Develops and maintains IT related documentation
Supports IT initiatives (efforts / projects) through the conceptual, requirements gathering, design, development and implementation phases
Supports and communicates IT initiatives plan, schedules, cost and progress
Supports in taking action to mitigate potential risks and issues and makes recommendations to management when escalation is required
Utilizes process improvement techniques such as six sigma tools and SEI-CMM processes
Supports and maintains a productive working relationship with customers, vendors, and other key stakeholders
Partners closely with customers to assure expectations are being met throughout initiatives and that the customers are satisfied with final product
Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established ES&H requirements to ensure the protection of associates, the public, and the environment
Takes actions necessary to ""stop"" work when an unsafe condition or action is identified. Every associate has the right and responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or actions are identified
You Must Have:
Bachelor's Degree required or 2 additional YOE in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both oral and written)
Prefer 1 year of experience in computing systems deployment, IT project management, or computer related technical activities
Advanced application of project management practices, principles, and tools, including prior experience in managing IT projects through delivery
Remoteroles can be located in any of the states where Honeywell Federal Manufacturing& Technologies, LLC is authorized to do business. ** Some roles, however,may have to be co-located with their teams in certain locations. **HoneywellFederal Manufacturing is authorized to do business in many, but not all,states.
