The Honeywell Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) reduces the risk of controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) by providing flight crews with timely, accurate information about terrain and obstacles in the area. The system uses various aircraft inputs and an internal database to predict and warn flight crews of potential conflicts with obstacles or terrain. Additional features include SmartRunway and SmartLanding systems, developed to help flight crews avoid potential runway incursions and excursions

As an Advanced Systems Engineer for the Multi-Platform EGPWS Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) Systems Core Development program within Honeywell's Aero business, you will contribute to the team as a Systems Engineer and grow and expand your skills on exciting new projects. You will contribute to proposals to address future business opportunities, provide your ideas for problem solving and be part of a product and team that has a positive impact on aviation safety.

This position supports long term development programs and breakthrough innovations that are penetrating into all aerospace fields including the burgeoning UAM/UAS markets and Next Gen ATR-BGA-UAM/UAS EGPWS products.

• Bachelors degree in Engineering
• 4+ years of system development experience
• 3+ years of Aerospace experience doing Systems Engineering work
• US citizenship require due to export control laws

• Aircraft Systems knowledge or piloting background
• Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) or TAWS experience
• Aviation Safety experience or knowledge
• FAA Regulations and industry standards knowledge
• ARP4754, DO-178, DO-254, DO-160 knowledge
• Agile development process knowledge and experience
• TSO, STC and Aircraft Type Certification knowledge and experience
• Interest and commitment to aviation safety
• Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle
• Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
• Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
• Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
• Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
• An understanding of data structures to provide analytical problem solving
