Position Overview :

The Financial Controller is a professional position that oversees and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the accounting department. Financial Controllers are primarily responsible for providing accurate and timely company records by managing accounting functions, financial close processes, and producing statements and reports to guide decision-making.

Management

• Manage all finance and accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.


• Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.


• Provides administrative direction and leadership for the financial operations of the company.


• Provides administrative and technical direction to project and subsidiary financial operations to ensure corporate financial data is as accurate as possible.


• Participates as a member of the executive team.


• Analyzes and provides financial data and analysis as required.


• Oversees the preparation and management review of monthly financial statements, annual budgets, and re-forecasts.

Operations

• Plans objectives, methods, and resources of short- and long-range financial operations of the company.


• Coordinates processing and dissemination of financial data required by managers, to establish and maintain operating budgets and related controls procedures.


• Communicates with all Project Managers, Groups Managers, and Vice-Presidents to ensure administrative requirements are met.


• Investigates and oversees any financial/accounting-related problems and resolves them timely.


• Assist CEO with operational processes.


• Develop accounting policies and procedures.

• Coordinates with internal and external auditors in annual and special audits.


• Provides financial data to all external agencies and corporations as required to determine levels of bonding, insurance, etc.


• Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Business relations

• Establish and maintain business relationships with banks and other institutions.


• Maintain relationships with senior leaders across the organization concerning long-term and short-term business strategies.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an accounting supervisor or financial controller


• Bachelors Degree


• CPA


• Experience with SuccessFactors / Viewpoint
