The Business Insurance Producer is responsible for prospecting for sales leads on new accounts, achieving sales goals, and servicing existing accounts with regard to business insurance products.
We will count on you to:
Adhere to Accelerate sales process to develop sales pipeline and meet annual sales objectives.
Collaborate with prospective clients to review insurance needs, conduct risk assessment, and address loss control issues. Make recommendations based on this information.
Consult with marketing department and account manager to coordinate and oversee the quotation process.
Present proposals to prospective clients explaining policy features and coverage, discussing additional coverage options, and reviewing carrier pricing.
Work with account managers in servicing existing client's needs, including analyzing their current insurance program, suggesting additions or changes, and remarketing the account as needed.
Review client contracts for insurance requirements and advise clients accordingly.
Confer with clients on claim related issues and provide information as necessary.
Attend various insurance carrier meetings/functions to develop strong working relationships with their personnel and maintain knowledge of their products and services.
What you need to have:
Property & Casualty Insurance License
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent experience.
2-5 years of outside business-to-business selling with a proven track record.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, assertive yet consultative.
Personal computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
