F9 Senior Operations Supervisor at Menzies Aviation (USA) Inc in Denver, Colorado

Job Description:

As a Menzies Aviation Senior Operational Coordination Supervisor, you will be responsible for communicating, coordinating, and liaising with UA and UAX SOC management and with Menzies Aviation ITP and Commissary Teams.


The role requires a seasoned supervisor with a strong operational and business understanding and leadership skills. The selected candidate must have the ability to run the operation in a challenging and dynamic environment, while maintaining strict adherence to Menzies Aviation policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities 


  • Creates schedules for Operations

  • Manages time off/vacation for Operations

  • Interfaces with F9 and recoding delays

  • Trains Operations Supervisors and Operations Agents

  • Creates SOPs for Ops Training

  • Understanding of the complexities of the ITP and Commissary Operations with UA and UAX

  • Effectively plan, communicate, collaborate, and safely coordinate all aspects of the ITP and Commissary with UA and UAX SOC Leadership

  • Quick to forecast and react to problems, challenges and irregular operations that will arise, causing the need to reassess and use Plans B and C; read: alternate solutions

  • Leads by example, professional at all times

  • Communicate and coordinate; gate changes, aircraft swaps, over wing fueling requirements, operational slide, call-backs, diversions, fuel stops, defuels, hangar fueling, FOB reports, fueling equipment issues, regens, load rack issues, employee emergencies, aircraft fuel gauge issues, wing imbalances, fuel cap tracking, tank truck sticking, fuel slip reconciliation, IT issues, QT issues, hand-held radio issues, fuel uplifts, STAR flights, Priority flights, MST flights, late fuel release, weight restricted flights, extra holiday red-eye flying and overnight activities

  • Monitors international arrivals and departures as part of the overall operations

  • Answer all radio and phone calls to support the operations

  • Effective communication with all other departments and internal customers

  • Must be able to direct others and give clear directions both oral and written

  • Complete shift reports and update all departments and business partners safety, security, risks, staffing levels, delays, and facility issues

  • Assist with all aspect of general administration including but limited to attendance, rostering, staffing assessments due to additional activity and

  • Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff is organized and informed

  • Regularly interacts with customer to promote the station and to measure the level of customer satisfaction

  • Uses customer feedback to continually develop and improve capabilities and processes

  • Attend internal and external meetings as required

  • Able to organize and disseminate accurate operational information using United Ready, SSD, Volare, Kronos, Gate Manager, UA Camera System, QT Technologies, WhatsApp, Text, iPhone, Gate Explorer and Multi-Channel Handheld Radio Systems, and any additional or new technologies that may be introduced.


Qualifications


  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing

  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English

  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions

  • Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal

  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays

  • Must have high school diploma, GED or six months experience as an Operations Agent

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written – concise and accurate

  • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure

  • Competent in handling difficult situations

  • Advanced Computer Skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly work in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and high hydraulic/pneumatic pressures. The employee is also frequently exposed to very loud noise levels, fumes or airborne particles and hazardous substances, materials, or waste.


Most work is done indoors; however, the individual may work out doors on occasions where harsh weather conditions may exist.  The Senior Operational Coordination Supervisor is provided a Menzies Aviation uniform including a coat.

Other tasks include digging and shoveling, such as snow removal around equipment and office. Employee may also engage in debris removal which involves lifting, bending, and stooping. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
