Allegheny College, a small selective national liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of Special Projects Coordinator. The position is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Chief of Staff in the Office of the President.
The Special Projects Coordinator performs a wide range of advanced and highly confidential project work for the Chief of Staff. In addition to overseeing special projects, key responsibilities include effective and efficient management of the Chief of Staff's office: providing meeting briefings and research, initiating correspondence, presentations, and memos for the Chief of Staff, and coordinating logistics for events/engagements and public relations, including, but not limited to, the publication of a monthly newsletter and social media. The position further provides oversight of a broad range of strategic initiatives on behalf of the Chief of Staff, including monitoring staff, budget and timelines.
Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, higher education, project management, or other related field required. Additionally, 3 - 5 years' experience in project management and executive support preferred.
