Allegheny College, a small selective national liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of Assistant Men's & Women's Tennis Coach. The position is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach.


A Bachelor's degree is required; however a master's degree is preferred. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist head coach with the organization and direction of all aspects of a competitive men's and women's tennis program. Specific responsibilities include identification, recruitment, and retention of athletically and academically qualified student-athletes; hit with players during regular practice sessions and game preparation; and assisting with the administrative process for team travel, program budgets, public/alumni relations and promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Athletics and Recreation. The successful candidate should: understand the Division III philosophy and thrive in an extremely motivated, team oriented atmosphere, have 1 to 3 years of coaching and/or playing experience or equivalent, and display a strong commitment to College, PAC, and NCAA rules and regulations. Event management and summer facility responsibilities will also be assigned by the Athletic Director.
