Job Description:

Your responsibilities

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. May perform other general warehouse functions in support of operational requirements.
• Accurately remove and stock product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan
• Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly
• Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded
• Picking, processing and packing orders
• Cycle Counts
• Identify, hold and segregate defective material
• Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required
• Perform general clean up
• Inspect forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel
• Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements
• Teach, coach and demonstrate work activities for team members.
• Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead
• Maintain timely, effective, and professional communications with all internal and external customers and suppliers
• Train others when required

Your profile

1st Shift A Key Harlan Team Lead. This position will then need to change keys at the beginning of 2022 when the incumbent comes back from leave. Will remain a Team Lead, but a different schedule or location.High school diploma/GED
• History of consistent dependable attendance
• 2 years of warehousing experience - especially in metals industry
• Shipping experience
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills
• Previous forklift experience
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions Preferred Requirements:
• Use of hand held measuring tools
• Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
• LEAN and/or Quality Control experience
• Possess the knowledge of metals handled in regard to proper staging, processing, packaging, and shipping
• Train others as needed
• Other duties as assigned
