Sr. C++ Software Engineer (HYBRID) (Candidates must be willing to commute or relocate to the SW MI area and work onsite 2-3 days per week. Relocation paid in full/upfront.)

We are looking for a C++ Software Engineer to help with the development of complex medical software applications for Neuro, Spine, and ENT application. This person will design software components with UML and create/document/test components of existing and future software in C++, Qt, QML, & JavaScript.

What You Will Be Doing * Plan and conduct engineering research, design, development projects as assigned

* Monitor and control progress of projects to ensure sound application of engineering principles and design intent are achieved

* Collaborate with electrical/hardware/software engineers to define microprocessor and interface requirements + develop protocols for multi-processor environments

* Interface with the QA department to guide the development of software verification tests

* Provide input to project management on scheduling, milestone achievement, and challenges

* Submit periodic reports on assigned topics, train others on functionally related topics, evaluate the results of projects, and provide manufacturing guidance/assistance as needed

What You Need for this Position Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline

* 4+ years of experience coding with C++

* Linux system programming experience

Preferred:

* Strong familiarity with Qt5+ and QML based designs with QtQuick
