We are looking for an experienced editor/writer to create clear, engaging blog content about complex cutting-edge technology for an audience of experts (researchers, engineers, and developers) and savvy, interested non-experts. You'll be part of Meta's technology communications editorial team, which manages a bundle of digital content channels focused on artificial intelligence, engineering, and other aspects of innovation.You will collaborate with Meta's researchers and other technical leads to unpack dense technical work on topics such as self-supervised learning, natural language understanding, object segmentation, zero-shot learning, and Transformer-based AI models. You will not just explain how a piece of technology works, but also convey what makes it interesting and noteworthy, why it matters, and how it ties to Meta's long-term vision. With some projects, you will write articles from scratch, with input from subject matter experts. With others, you'll partner with our researchers and engineers to revise and finalize their drafts.
AI Blog Writer/Editor Responsibilities:
Lead the development multiple pieces of content concurrently, from concept to publication, often under tight deadlines
Manage editorial projects with a wide range of stakeholders and partners in public relations, marketing, creative, product, and legal
Help develop content beyond text-based stories - including infographics, charts, and videos
Manage a content calendar, build blog posts in our publishing tool, and oversee other aspects of blog creation
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
8+ years of professional experience, including editorial experience focused on technology, writing both short- and long-form content under competing deadlines
Experience managing complex editorial projects
Experience working with dense, complex source material (such as research papers) and translate it into clear, accessible prose
Experience developing visual content and content for social media
Experience working independently and as part of highly cross-functional team
