Completes development team requested test plans to support customer requested testing and new product development qualifications. Assembles, tests and debugs motor and drive solutions. Assists in the development of test standards and safety documentation. Completes test auditing to verify that documentation is complete, equipment is calibrated and results are accurate prior to sending to the customer.

Major Responsibilities:

• Medium to Complex circuit board assembly soldering and rework - including keeping change/update logs.
• Prototyping, building and installing cables and wiring harness assemblies.
• Building and troubleshooting electronically controlled motor assembly prototypes.
• Assemble, test, and debug development motor and drive solutions.
• Specifying necessary parts, ordering them, and maintaining an inventory of parts for the projects.
• Use electronic lab equipment including volt meters, oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, data acquisition, etc.
• Collaborate in team environment with Application, Electrical, Software, Mechanical and Electro-magnetic engineers and technicians
• Complete application & development team requested test plans to support customer requested testing and new product development qualifications.
• Use 6s theory to maintain a clean and enforce safe lab areas
• Develop and maintain data acquisition systems for reliability test stands as required.
• Assist in the development of test standards and safety documentation.
• Provide training for new employees and temporary employees on test equipment.
• Complete Preventive Maintenance and Lab Standard runs to ensure data accuracy

• Associates or Bachelor Degree in Electronics, Electronic Engineering, Engineering Technology or related experience
• 3 years of relevant experience in electronic systems prototyping, testing, and iterative development.
• Ability to lift, push and pull 60lb.
• Comfortable working around low and high voltage electricity while always observing electrical safety procedures and common safety practices.
• Comfortable working around rotating equipment while always observing mechanical safety procedures and common safety practices.
• Knowledge of electric circuits and basic equipment used for testing (oscilloscope, multimeter, Power meter, etc.)
• Knowledge of wiring and mechanical systems for test setups.
• High respect for safety and following identified safety expectations.
• Report writing skills to include Microsoft Office.
• Good work ethic requiring little supervision in completing tasks.
• Ability to trouble shoot, rapidly learn operational characteristics of new products, and communicate issues to the internal customers
• STRONG organizational skills, drive towards continuous improvement, drive to serve the customer, attention to detail
• Ability to recognize business needs and address proactively
• Demonstrated experience participating in and performing effectively in a project team environment

• Experience with various electronic components
• Previous experience with motor and electronics testing or HVAC Equipment
• Familiar with electronics test equipment (Multimeter, Oscilloscope, HIPOT, Ground Bond)
• Familiar with test procedures for EMI, HIPOT, Electrical Transients, ESD, and others
• Work with Electronics and programming
• Familiar with agency testing - UL, CSA, IEC
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
• Green Belt training,
• Coop/Intern or 3 years' experience.
• Familiarity with ECM motors associated controls and induction motors

Language: Fluency in English is required.
