Software Development Manager, Integrations, leads a highly strategic team of talented software engineers responsible for building integration solutions based on education technology standards. Edmentum is on a growth trajectory and our integration capabilities are a critical driver of strategic objectives. This role will lead the team responsible for building robust and scalable solutions that seamlessly integrate Edmentum Learning Framework with districts' implementations, such as Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, Identity Providers, and Content Providers.



Candidate’s success in this position will be based on strong technical and people leadership skills, excellent communication, personal and team accountability. This role is a servant leader who relentlessly pursues collaborative approach to building consistent practices, aligned architecture and implementations, drives adoption, enables and supports team's autonomy in owning solutions all the way from inception through production implementation. Along with other teams, this role will drive integrations team’s engagement and contribution to Edmentum Technology strategic plan, test automation, and production-oriented development.



Day to Day:


•Demonstrate strong leadership by developing healthy team culture via coaching mentoring and hiring

•Deliver according to the integration roadmap and technology strategic plan - facilitate research, propose and negotiate modernization

•Support teams in managing cross-product/cross-team technical dependencies

•Assist with ongoing roadmap planning and estimations via scaled agile framework

•Partner with technical services organization to ensure solutions are documented and supported with high quality

•Promote open, frequent and transparent communication practices with know-your-audience in mind - eager to create visuals, evangelize, get early buy-in, document and broadcast decisions, solicit feedback

•Continuously learn and maintain understanding of Edmentum Learning Framework platform architecture and its evolution, development patterns and functional capabilities

•Influence and drive consistency and adoption of design, code, test, IaC review processes

•Provide hands on support with the implementation, as needed

•Contribute to development testing automation practices and frameworks, including unit, functional, integration, end to end, load, and performance

•Work in close partnership with product owners and user experience to contribute to feature design

•Partner with Scrum Master to support team's growth and autonomy through servant leadership and agile practices

•Enable and support team autonomy via accountability and ownership of solutions from inception to production, including infrastructure as code, pipelines, observability, and health monitoring

•Run performance management activities, including the creation of training and career plans for members of the team 



Must Have:


•B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Information Systems (or equivalent professional certification and work experience) 

•5+ years of full-stack web platform software engineering experience

•2+ years of managing software engineering teams

•Software engineering and tooling proficiency: C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, Visual Studio, Git, Angular, SQL, document management databases

•Experience with successful implementation of automated testing development practices, including some of the following: unit, functional, integration, front-end, e2e, load & performance, security, canary

•Working knowledge of security protocols, modern identity management and access control

•Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred), build and deployment pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)

•Experience designing and deploying solutions in the public cloud - prefer AWS, focus on serverless

•SOA practitioner, experience with event-driven, resilient, scalable and performing architectures

•Collaborative team player, comfortable working in agile environment and balancing both forward-looking and practical concerns

•Prefer experience in education technology, working knowledge of Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, integration standards

•Solid communication and presentation skills

•Approachable and optimistic leader, who exhibits positive attitude and supports team grow through change
