Position Purpose:

The Talent Acquisition Consultant will work to fill assigned vacancies within specific divisional and department units. Incumbent will work closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to anticipate and respond to hiring needs including training, conducting interviews, qualifying candidates, and ensuring a compliant hiring process. This position will also be responsible for sourcing, identifying and screening highly qualified talent for hard to fill positions across campus.


Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp:

Bachelors plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience


Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:



  • 2-3 years of recruiting experience

  • Familiarity with a broad range of employment categories

  • Experience building strong business relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers

  • Strong sourcing and networking skills

  • Knowledge of employment laws and managing compliant searches


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated use of social media and internet sourcing for recruitment

  • Familiarity with electronic applicant tracking system (PeopleAdmin)

  • Experience supporting diversity recruitment initiatives

  • Demonstrated project planning and management

  • Experience working in higher education setting

Recruiting/Hiring


  • 20-40 requisitions in collaboration with campus partners and hiring managers, providing consultation to hiring managers on all aspects of the full recruitment lifecycle from position creation to recruitment and onboarding. Generates reports from multiple software programs, manipulating data and compiling reports from the database as needed.

  • Supports hiring managers with recruitment strategy and ensuring an inclusive search process.

  • Creatively identifies various channels and opportunities for building network of prospective candidates.

Information Systems


  • Identifies major systems issues, investigates, documents and advises-in consultation with HRIS

  • Trouble-shoots low-level technical issues as experienced by applicant and hiring managers in ATS.

  • Reviews, revises and creates system documentation for TA systems, as needed.
