As a Business Analyst on Chubb's Limited Business Insights Business Analysis team, you'll be supporting corporate and management reporting leveraged throughout the company. Our current focus is on delivering business value via our Business Analytics Repository and management reporting capabilities. To support this, you will partner closely with subject matter experts across the business, as well as business analysts, information architecture, data integration teams and others within Information Management. Your role will be instrumental in providing business and data analysis support for management reporting deliverables as prioritized by our business partners.
In this role you will:
Validate and analyze insurance data in databases and across various reporting platforms
Analyze and document source to target mappings
Elicit requirements using techniques such as interviews, workshops, working sessions, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures
Evaluate and document business requirements for business requests while using industry standard analysis techniques such as business process modeling, data flow modeling, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis and business rules definition.
Collaborate with technical resources and our development teams to provide input to the solution design and to ensure that designed solutions satisfy business requirements
Partner with business and development teams to help to define acceptance criteria and to provide support (as needed) during user acceptance testing to ensure that the solution meets the business requirements
Collaborate with business partners to analyze, scope, and effectively prioritize product backlog
Develop estimates for business analysis tasks and ensure tasks are completed in accordance with your estimates
Participate in full team rotation of monthly closing activities
5+ years of experience within a Business Analysis, Data Analysis or similar role analyzing property and casualty insurance data
Strong complex data analysis, gap analysis, validation, and reconciliation skills
Deep knowledge of SQL (i.e., ability to write queries and/or stored procedures or similar / related functionality)
Experience or knowledge in insurance financial and/or management reporting
BI reporting support, requirements gathering and documentation experience including demonstrated experience with self-serve reporting (QlikView)
Structured reporting experience (with Cognos) is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
