Secured Lending – Real Estate, Analyst, Job Description

Seeking a Secured Lending Analyst to join the Real Estate Team.

The Analyst role is to join and support Mizuho’s Secured Lending Team which focuses on augmenting existing relationship as well as developing new relationships by providing term, bridge and construction loans secured by real estate properties located in the top 30 MSA’s nationally.  In addition to the originations role, this team acts as a secured lending a advisor to the bank’s diversified client base.

Expectations of the Analyst include:

• Become an expert in the real estate sector and in particular this group’s core specialization within real estate (Multi-family; Single-Family Rental, Student Housing, Industrial, Office, Retail, Self-Storage, Life Science, and Data Centers).


• Follow industry trends and client developments.


• Become an expert in underwriting real estate assets, pools and companies.


• Conduct research and analysis to support projects and advisory efforts.


• Financial modeling, valuation, and market-specific analysis.


• Facilitate and coordinate product group idea generation and solutions.


• Draft client pitches and marketing materials.


• Contribute in transaction structuring, due diligence and execution.


• Assist in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships.


• Monitor and protect existing portfolio. provide credit analysis of existing portfolio.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Finance or.


• Real Estate industry sector experience preferred. Knowledge of real estate underwriting.


• Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas.


• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.


• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey ideas.


• Creativity and intellectual curiosity.


• Ability to work independently and must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
