Baltimore Aircoil Company is looking for an Inside Sales Engineer to join the Balticare team. This position reports to the Balticare Operations Manager and works closely with the New Equipment Sales Engineers to achieve the volume and PGM results for the office. The Inside Sales Engineer will provide inside sales support to outside sales engineers and customers over the phone and email. This role will provide experience and key fundamentals for those pursuing career growth in the Sales field!
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar technical degree.
Strong technical, organizational, communication, and customer problem resolution skills.
Ability to interact with different types of individuals, including contractors, property owners and other business professionals.
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information clearly and properly describe problems and solutions.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and prioritize by importance. A broad background and general knowledge of technical, administrative, and financial areas is preferred.
A basic understanding of related terms and business processes a plus.
A comprehensive understanding of computer terminology is required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Designs HVAC systems using the equipment lines represented by company using manufacturer’s product selection software
Working in house, sells and delivers technical education events to our design to engineers, contractors and developers
Develops relationships with project managers, project engineers, construction, purchasing, and accounts payable.
Gathers and validates preliminary information and reviews plans and other construction documents.
Determines client needs, constraints, and responsibilities for HVAC system
Manages projects by gathering and submitting technical information and overseeing delivery and commissioning schedules.
Prepares and enters Purchase Orders with vendors for third party products.
Manages third party orders, including scheduling, confirmation of delivery of goods and invoicing.
Assists Outside Sales Engineers with customer training, job site visits and start-up coordination
Resolve issues and disputes with customers and vendors in a timely manner
ADVANCEMENT
The ideal candidate will be successful in this role and will have the ability to transition to an Outside Sales position in a few years.
