ABOUT THE JOB:
The responsibilities of the Production Control Specialist are to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of finished products. This role also expedites client-related production delays by resolving issues with late deliveries, discrepancies in quality or quantity, or failure to meet established specifications. Other responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning
Run MRP daily to review demand;
Create routings for newly created production parts;
Create work orders & schedule to try to meet required ship date while not going over capacity;
Create daily/weekly schedules; review with supervisors to get buy-in & confirm it is achievable;
Release work orders;
Update work order status based on production sheets from the shops;
Confirm work order completion & ensure raw materials are consumed and production moved to stock;
Communicate with sales on order status & possible delays;
Work with sales/engineering to fix any drawing/ BOM errors
Communicate with purchasing on material deliveries & delays;
Work with department supervisors to maintain capacity and it is properly utilized;
Create stock transfer orders when necessary;
Review consumption variances to determine whether BOMs need to be corrected;
Communicate with sister facilities to review any capacity issues that may be covered by the other sites
Comply with all ParkUSA policies, procedures and guidelines
Inventory Management
Creates, maintains, improves, coordinates quarterly reports for inventory and finished goods counts and item descriptions as well as other components from these reports.
Coordinates with other departments when needed to complete missing counts, costs, etc.
Updates inventory cost quarterly or as requested by Accounting/Auditors on a set deadline.
Coordinates inventory audits with respective departments and external NWP personnel.
Performs physical cycle and random counts
Ensures all materials are stored, organized, and labelled properly
Establishment of Min and Max inventory control levels as other inventory practices or measurements
Verifies all incoming deliveries via the purchase order.
Coordinate the receiving, counting, and verification of incoming and outgoing shipments
Collaborates and supervises the handle Internal, External, RMAs and incoming shipments from vendors
Arranges LTL shipments
Coordinates intercompany transfers together with the support of the other branches
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS:
This role must be able to build positive relationships with co-workers, corporate staff, external customers, vendors and contractors.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
2 years’ experience in an ERP environment (SAP Experience is a plus)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Skilled in use of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communications, relationship-building, and facilitation skills.
Organized and details oriented
Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with clarity and professionalism.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Ability interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Bilingual is a plus
